TERM AND HOLIDAYS

WE DO NOT FOLLOW LAFAYETTE PARISH PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH RESPECT TO HOLIDAYS.

The opening date for Bluebirds Ballet Academy’s 2025-2026 dance season is August 16, 2025, with Bluebirds Ballet Company Audition Classes. 

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 23, 2026. Bluebirds Ballet Academy will be closed the following dates for the 2025-26 for holidays and rest: 

Labor Day: Monday, September 1, 2025
Fall Break: October 31, 2024-November 1, 2025
Thanksgiving: November 24-29, 2025
Christmas/New Year: December 15, 2024-January 4, 2026 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 19, 2026
Mardi Gras: February 13-19, 2026
Easter Break: April 3-11, 2026

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 23, 2026. 

Weather and Other Emergencies

We follow the Lafayette Parish Public School System with respect to weather and other emergency closures. If Lafayette Parish Public Schools close school due to inclement weather or other such emergencies, Bluebirds Ballet Academy will also be closed. Make-Up classes will be scheduled upon request.

Bluebirds Ballet Company Auditions: Saturday, August 16, 2025 

First Day of Classes: Monday, August 18, 2025

Recital Fee Due Date: September 30, 2025
Costume Fee Due Date: November 30, 2026

Bluebirds Ballet Company's Winter Performance at the Acadiana Center for the Arts: December 20, 2025
Rehearsals and Spring Performances at the Acadiana Center for the Arts: May 27-31. 2026

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any class for which less than four students are enrolled.
