TERM AND HOLIDAYS

WE DO NOT FOLLOW LAFAYETTE PARISH PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH RESPECT TO HOLIDAYS.

The opening date for Bluebirds Ballet Academy’s 2025-2026 dance season is August 15, 2026, with Bluebirds Ballet Company Placement Auditions and Informational Meetings. 

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 22, 2027. Bluebirds Ballet Academy will be closed the following dates for the 2026-27 for holidays and rest: 

Labor Day: Monday, September 7, 2026
Fall Break: October 30-November 1, 2026
Thanksgiving: November 22-28, 2026
Christmas/New Year: December 14, 2026-January 3, 2027 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 18, 2027
Mardi Gras: February 4-11, 2027
Easter Break: March 26-April 1, 2027

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 22, 2027. 

Weather and Other Emergencies

We follow the Lafayette Parish Public School System with respect to weather and other emergency closures. If Lafayette Parish Public Schools close school due to inclement weather or other such emergencies, Bluebirds Ballet Academy will also be closed. Make-Up classes will be scheduled upon request.
