TERM AND HOLIDAYS

The opening date for Bluebirds Ballet Academy’s 2023-2024 dance season is August 18, 2023.

Bluebirds Ballet Academy’s Company season will begin on August 25th with our Audition Class, Parent Meeting and Retreat.

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 11, 2024. Bluebirds Ballet Academy will be closed the following dates for the 2023-24 for holidays and rest:

September 4th, 2023: Labor Day (Make-Up Classes scheduled upon request)
October 31-November 1, 2023: Fall Break (Make-Up Classes scheduled upon request)
November 20-25, 2023: Thanksgiving Break
December 18, 2023-January 7, 2024: Christmas and New Year break
January 15, 2024: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Make-Up Classes scheduled upon request)
February 9-15, 2024: Mardi Gras break
March 29-April 4, 2024: Easter break

Bluebirds Ballet Company will not have rehearsals or classes on February 16th or March 5th unless needed for performance purposes. There may be opportunities for master classes or workshops during these breaks which will be optional and payable separately.

First Day of Classes: Friday, August 18th, 2023
Recital Fee Due Date: September 30, 2023
Costume Fee Due Date: December 31st, 2023
Blocking/Technical Rehearsals at the Acadiana Center for the Arts: May 8-9, 2024
Spring Performances: May 10-11, 2024

Weather and Other Emergencies

In the event that Lafayette Parish Public Schools close school due to inclement weather or other such emergencies, Bluebirds Ballet Academy will also be closed. Make-Up classes will be scheduled upon request.

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any class for which less than four students are enrolled.
